Enter THE BONES OF PARIS Pinterest Contest!
Laurie R. King, author of the upcoming THE BONES OF PARIS is running a Pinterest contest to celebrate her upcoming book from August 13-September 6, 2013.
From Laurie’s website:
Paris, 1929: the images explode off the page. Fashion and food, cars and cigarettes, paintings and photography; Hemingway’s scowl, Kiki’s eyebrows, Dalí’s burgeoning mustaches–all these and more evoke an era when freedom was king, revolution was the normal, and experimentation (literary, artistic, social, sexual) was in the air, the blood, and…the Bones.
Which is why this year’s contest is all about the visual.
I want you to show me Paris in 1929. Show me Harris Stuyvesant searching the rues andboulevards for the missing Pip Crosby. Show me Stuyvesant’s encounters with Sylvia Beach and Man Ray, his uneasiness at some of the city’s odder inhabitants, his dread of the catacombs beneath. Show me what freedom and experimentation did to Paris, and its resident Americans, in the Twenties. Show me!
Showing is why this year’s contest is Pinterest based. Pinterest is a great way to gather together images and ideas. It’s easy to set up, simple to use, and it doesn’t cost you anything but time.
